Priya Ramanathan is a writer, author, screenplay writer and storyteller. She is one of the most talented writers, who has charmed everyone with her majestically written stories. She had a passion for writing and literature from her childhood. She used to write many fantasy-based stories, short stories and muses when she was in school. She has also won many prizes and competitions during her school and college days for her amazing craft of weaving together some of the best stories.

In 2009, she got her big break in the TV industry, when she wrote the very popular show called Jaane Pehchaane Se Hain Ye Ajnabi. The show was based around a 24-year-old girl, who loses all her family in a car accident except for her sister’s 6-year-old girl. She went on to write over 250 episodes in between 2009 and 2010. At the same time, she was also writing for the absolute monster hit TV serial called Dill Mil Gaye. The show was based around the lives of a few medical interns who go along in their lives, with a few friendships and romantic relationships in between. Priya was the mastermind behind this successful show, she wrote more than 69 episodes in a span of 3 years.

Her next project was another successful one, the show was called Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke, a story about two teenage cousins of the same age, with one living Mumbai whose mother dies, so she has to go and live with her sister in Banaras. Priya wrote more than 700 episodes, she received several awards over the years for her excellent achievements in writing in TV soap operas. She didn’t limit herself to television writing, she has also authored a few books. In 2013, she released her novel called Moustache Man, a story about a near-perfect village, with near-perfect people living in it, but suddenly a man from outside the village comes in and raises a question. This is a comedy novel filled with colorful animations.

She also is an amazing storyteller, one of her stories ‘How I met My Mother’ was recited by herself in a Mumbai event, a clip of which became quite popular on Youtube, she has done several other storytelling events all over Mumbai. Priya has enjoyed a great career, writing amazing stories and meeting various authors from around the world.
