Education is one of the basics of life. Everyone in the world has the right to acquire it, irrespective of their status. There are still many people creating difficulties for people receiving a quality education. They deprive people of their fundamental rights to feel superior to them. The serial highlights this concept, which is much needed for maintaining equality among people. A rich man rules the village where he resides with an authoritative approach. He wrongly wants people around him to obey his words without any choice. He wishes to boss around people. The discrimination he imposes on them is derogatory in many ways. People blindly follow his words as they don't have much knowledge about their rights.
Meenatchi, a woman with a selfless heart, comes into the village with her son. She becomes a headmistress in the village with a devotion to teaching children. But the rich man is unhappy with that as he fears losing control over the village. He creates difficulties for her to make her withdraw from teaching the children. But Meenatchi never gives up and continues to help the children acquire knowledge. She turns all her hardships into a fortune. The rich man gets aggravated by her attitude. So, he loses his mind and tries to electrocute the school with children inside. Meenatchi jumps in to save the children. She lost one leg and one hand in the incident. The rich and cunning man becomes stunned after hearing the news. The unimaginable part is Meenatchi forgiving the man. The man realizes his mistake and goes on to help his village people. Meenatchi loses her life. Another childless woman in the village named Yasodha adopts Meenatchi's son, Gopi. How Gopi brings change to the life of Yasodha becomes the storyline here.
