Shriyut Gangadhar Tipre is a Marathi family comedy-drama TV series aired in Zee Marathi, also called Alpha Marathi. It premiered on 2 November 2001 and ended on 7 January 2005. The show is about a Maharashtrian family dealing with common everyday issues while leaving their monotonous lifestyle and sustaining a strong bond with their family. The family contains three generations, and Mr. Gangadhar Tipre, being the eldest, is the head of the family. He has a son, Shekhar, and daughter-in-law, Shyamal, and the youngest generation is the grandchildren, Shalaka and Shreelesh. Gangadhar is a sweet man who loves and cares for his family a lot. The whole family has unique personalities, which result in many hilarious situations.
