Maharishi Darpana is a Kannada television series. The show gets telecasted in the popular Kannada channel of Suvarna TV. As astronomical shows have always been morning shows, the channel telecasted this show in the 08:00 a.m. slot. The period of its telecasting went on throughout the week except for Sunday; from Monday all the way through to Saturday. The show successfully telecasted more than seven hundred episodes running over a period of two years continuously. The show follows the format of a talk show where a very reputed astrologer imparts his wisdom to the audience.

The talk begins with an insight on astronomical developments that has taken place in recent time. It includes the position of celestial bodies which drive various qualities of life in the respective people with the respective sun and moon signs. Then the section where the astrologer discusses the horoscope of various zodiac signs begins. He goes on talking about the different signs and their implications on other signs. He mentions a list of things that one must do for all the signs along with the elements which could threaten them and favor them.
