Sony Entertainment Television, or SET, which is a Hindi-language based general entertainment television channel in India had telecast a musical reality show named ‘10 Ke 10 Ley Gaye Dil’. It was a musical contest program which showed the best singer winning a prize at the last. In the new musical program, 5 contestants from both Fame Gurukul and Indian Idol did compete in a new stunt of Sony Entertainment Television. The show ended with a grand finale on 18 November where the public voted who the winner is. The winner was Arijit Singh from West Bengal, Kolkata The 10 candidates for '10 Ke 10 Ley Gaye Dil' included Harish Moyal, Prajakta Shukre, Aditi Paul, Rahul Saxena, Ravinder Ravi, Arpita Mukherjee, Arijit Singh, Mona Bhatt, Shamit Tyagi and Anubhav Suman. The show went on air starting November 4th each evening at 8.30 p.m in the year 2005. In the show '10 Ke 10 Ley Gaye Dil’, Arpita was among the top 4 Fame Gurukul finalists who charmed the nation with her sense of style and confidence. She entered the contest. She stayed in the Gurukul for 15 weeks and had learned a lot about playback methods. Before making her entry, in reality, she was a graduate in Economics from New Delhi.

After her entry into many such programs, she struggled to make her career in the music world and fought for more than 2 years. After this show, life had completely changed for Arpita. Like Arpita, Shamit Tyagi was another contestant in Sony Entertainment show. He made into Fame Gurukul, which made him a star worldwide. After his participation in the show, he became more focused on music. Mona was another contestant in ’10 Ke 10 Ley Gaye Dil’ who jumped from Fame Gurukul. She was learning music from Gandharva Maha Vidayala and had learned a lot from her 11 friends who participated in Gurukul. She also had gained popularity in the stage show and had a huge fan base. Now she has shifted her base from Delhi to Mumbai to try luck in the music industry. Arijit Singh was a singer from Kolkata had participated first in ‘Fame Gurukul’ in 2005 and lost the competition. Later, he participated in ’10 Ke 10 Le Gaye Dil’ and won it. Arijit was also an assistant programmer to music composer Pritam, Mithoon, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and Vishal Shekhar for a while. In 2013, he attempted singing first for Bollywood.

But before such success, he was an ordinary boy from Kolkata who had the inclination to sing anywhere and at any time. Before entering Fame Gurukul, another contestant Anubhav Suman was a student of faculty of music and fine arts from Delhi University. He had his own diploma from Gandharva Maha Vidyalaya. Anubhav became an experienced singer after he stayed in Gurukul. He also learned about voice modulation from the faculty of Gurukul. Rahul Saxena was another contestant who shifted from New Delhi to Mumbai to make his career in playback singing. After completing his B-Com from Delhi University, Rahul Saxena got enormous publicity as a contestant In Indian Idol. Today, the singer has sung songs for Jatin-Lalit and even Ismail Darbar, etc. He also was a voice to recognize in Sony Entertainment channel show. After graduating from reality shows, he went to participate even in stage shows in Dubai.

Harish Moyal entered into Indian Idol contest and then took part in ’10 Ke 10 Ley Gaye Dil’. He was working in a fabrication shop in Ujjain. But his singing talent took him to reality shows, and he received earlier a national award in ghazal singing. Today, he is an established singer who even performs stage show and records song for HMV. Indian Idol completely changed his image to playback singer. Ravinder Ravi before entering Indian Idol was a painter in Ludhiana. Soon he participated in mega-musical talent search contest and landed up in Mumbai as a playback singer. He has done many stage shows too. The last contestant was Prajakta Shukre from Madhya Pradesh. When she gave auditions for Indian Idol, she was studying in the twelfth standard. She has been singing since the age of four. After entering Indian Idol in February 2005, she never left Mumbai and decided to make playback singing a career.
