Sumit Sambhal Lega was an Indian Sitcom. This show was telecasted by one of the most popular channels Star Plus. It is a remake of the show ‘Everybody Loves Raymond’ of Warner Bros’, that attracted people for more than nine years, from 1996 to 2005. This program in English is being telecasted in the channel named Romedy Now, which is famous for its humor shows. The show Sumit Sambhal Lega has telecasted a total number of 108 episodes. This program is about Sumit, like other normal men who are being tortured between his wife, children, and his family including his mother, father, and his brother.
Sumit is a careless young man, who always tries to avoid all his responsibilities. Moreover, the whole series is famous, because of Sumit’s timing for his humor even in a serious situation. This show was premiered on August 31, 2015, and its final episode was aired on January 4, 2016. The directors of the show were ‘Deven Bhojani’,Shashant Shah, and ‘Parmeet Sethi’. This program has been created by DJ’s Creative Unit and written by ‘Arshad Sayed’ and ‘Sumit Roy’. The producers of the program were ‘Tony Singh’ and ‘Deeya Singh’.
The English meaning of the title is “Sumit Will Handle It”. The writer of the original series is ‘Steve Skrovan’, who helped in the remake of the show in Hindi by Star Plus team. The head of the particular writer’s room was ‘Rajesh Devraj’ and has been assisted by Arshad Sayed, Sumit Roy, and ‘Chirag Mahabal’. This show is very successfully telecasted as a daily serial for approximately thirty minutes and got many requests from its fans to come up with the second season. IMDB gave this show a rating of 9.1, which is quite better than the rating of the original show (Everybody Loves Raymond) and, after the series it is being replaced by one more daily show named “Tamanna”.
The show revolves around the life of Sumit living with his family in Delhi. He always let all the responsibilities to his wife and never cared even about his children. He always makes a problematic situation into a humorous one. He always irritates his wife with his mischievous acts, and on the other hand, his mom always supports him. Though everyone lived in the same place, they were being placed on different floors in the same building. Finally his brother, Rajneesh gets married and stays in the same building that ends the story. It is not just about Sumit, but this show is famous because of the cold war between his wife and mother, and also Sumit’s father who never cared about what was happening within his family. That has been one of the hits in the entire serial that always got some trouble to Sumit.

This show has been awarded for different categories in Indian Telly Awards 2015 for Best Actress in a Supporting Role(Female)- Manasi Parekh; Best Actress in Comic Role(Female)- Bharati Achrekar; Best Actor in a Comic Role(Male)- Namit Das; Best Actor in Supporting Role(Male)- Satish Kaushik.
