A film based on true incidents, Talvar was released in 2015 and stars Irrfan Khan, Konkana Sen Sharma, Neeraj Kabi and Sohum Shah. The movie is based on the much controversial 2008 Aarushi Talwar murder case. Directed by Meghna Gulzar, “Talvar” is a gripping and thrilling tale of what happened in the case throughout.
The narration of the movie deserves special mention along with the characters portrayed by the veterans in the movie. The whole time, the audience will be captivated with the plot and the suspense. The mystery over who killed the daughter of Talvars remain till the very end.
“Talvar” also showcases the grim reality prevailing in the media coverage of the country. How can someone’s life be sensationalized to such an extent that it becomes a matter of ridicule and farce? It also highlights the various flaws prevailing in the Indian criminal justice system. However, the movie is a must watch simply because of the sheer brilliance of the actors involved and the screenplay. Many of us are well aware of the real incident that happened a few years ago.
