Directed by Shajiyem, 'The eye' is the dubbed Telugu version of Malayalam movie ‘Ms. Lekha Tharoor Kaanunnathu.’

Plot: The story is about a blind girl Chandra Lekha ( Meera Jasmine Born on 15th February 1982, Meera Jasmine belongs >> Read More... ), who lost her vision when she was young. She is a hard working girl and hosts a TV show. Now she gets an eye donor and she successfully has a Cornea transplant operation. But her happiness doesn't last long as her new pair of eyes shows her some disturbing and scary events. She contacts physician Alex (Badri) but all in vain. Then she realizes that these all episodes have something to do with the life of his doner and she decides to investigate this matter. During this investigation, she finds the answers to all her questions like Why she saw those scary events? What was the reality of his eye donor ?. How she' ll lift the veil from this mystery forms the rest of the plot.

Analysis: Shaijiyem has come up with a unique story and that’s the reason that keeps the audience glued in movie halls. He has burned midnight fuel to make the script a reality, and he has been lended support by the technical team, producers, and the actors. The background Score and Screenplay of the movie deserves applause. Music of the film compliments the horror scenes. Production value of the flick is exceptional. Chandra Mouli’s film making has a rare essence which is plus for the flick. Casting director deserves a bow for finding a gem like Meera for the role of Chandra Lekha. She has delivered a once in a lifetime performance.

Star Performances: Meera Jasmine is the hero of this film. She single handily has taken this flick on her shoulders. Her acting is so brilliant that you won't remember the names of the supporting cast once you end up watching the film. Her role of a blind girl has been researched well and Meera has done full justice to it by working on her postures and expressions. She has overshadowed all other artists. Editing, Screenplay, background score, direction, narration, dialogues, script, none of the departments disappoint us.

What's there ????

1. After a long while, Tollywood has offered a good thriller movie.

3. Technical department has worked hard to add their contribution to the success of ' The eye.’

4. Meera Jasmine's lifetime performance makes it a must watch.

What's not there ????

1. Meera Jasmine stole all the limelight and the supporting cast struggle to get screen space.

2. Some scenes in the movie are dragged, and this acts as a speed breaker for the audience.

3. The initial part of the film is slow and makes us bore.

Verdict: 'The eyes' will surely grab the eyes of the viewers and if you want to enjoy a good suspense movie, then this one won't let you down.
