Plot: The movie is the story of Balaraju (Sri), who is an unemployed and coward youth. He lives with his widow mother. His uncle helps him in getting a job of a constable in forest department. With great difficulty, he does his work in the forest. One day he meets a tribal girl, Vasanta (Hamida) and they both start falling for each other. After a while, Vasanta proposes him. Balaraju, who has a girlfriend (Samatha), asks his friend Ram Babu ( Shakalaka Shankar Shakalaka Shankar is an actor in Telugu Television >> Read More... ) to guide him. Then a big twist comes in the tale when Balaraju and Ram Babu learn that Vasantha and her whole family are ghosts. This truth scares them to death, and they have to struggle for the rest part of the movie to save their lives and escape from this forest.
Analysis: Director Tirumalasetti Kiran starts the movie with a promising note to offer a good blend of horror and comedy, but he disappoints us. The script and dialogues are good on paper, but if it comes to execution on the silver screen, the flick fails to generate interest. Director has pulled out in a miracle in making a 129 minutes movie from a script which could have been narrated in just a couple of minutes. Music of the film is average, and an item song added out of nowhere irritates the audience. Mart and K Venkatesh's editing is poor. Same goes with the cinematography and narration.
Star Performances: Acting performances are the only sailors of this drowning film. Sri has been good in his role of a coward constable. Hamida and Samatha play the female leads and like many movies, they don’t have any meaty role. But they have done their respective roles well to the extent they could do. Shakalaka Shankar is good in his acting. He adds humor to the movie, but we miss him in the initial half of the film. Direction, technical team and narration are the departments who fail to uplift the flick.
What's there ????
1. Sri's acting is good, and he has carried his role well.
2. Both the female leads also have done their portion well although they have been portrayed just as a showpiece.
3. Dialogues and script may excite you to some extent.
What's not there ????
1. The story although is good but poor narration and direction make it miserable.
2. Almost all the songs are wrongly placed and just adds to the humiliation.
3. The technical department doesn't offer anything special but just adds to the drowning movie.
4. The film promises to offer a horror- comedy but ends up offering nothing.
Verdict: As claimed by the director, 'Sahasam Sara Dimbaka' is horror-comedy film, what the flick fails to scare and generate laughter. So watch it at your own risk.Â
