From 2000 to 2022, most of the movies had copied the Hollywood model of keeping movies shorter, with some movies being made in less than 2 hours. However, with the blockbuster success of Animal, filmmakers decided to restore the 3 hour plus model.

While the approach is still a hit and miss, Balakrishna is not a big fan of it. According to the superstar, this model is only useful if the quality is top notch. Otherwise, blindly copying a model would be of no use, and he would rather resist such a move.

Nandamuri Balakrishna is awaiting the release of Akhanda 2: Thaandavam, which has been unfortunately stayed by the Madras High Court hours before its release tonight.
