Plot

Kataru Ravindra Yadav was born and brought up in a village in Nallamala forest in Kadapa. His family job is goat herding and he was taught the same. However, Ravindra studies well and completes his engineering course. After completing his education, he finds it tough to get a job and hence returns to the village. The threat to the villagers is a tiger that rules the forest and also the smugglers who intrude into the forest for Bommakarra trees. How did Ravindra manage to get a job and save his village and the forest forms the rest of the story.

Star Performance

Tej has performed well. His transformation from an innocent villager to an officer is good. But, he struggles in the emotional scenes. Rakul, who appears in a de-glam look is impressive with her performance. Ravi Prakash impresses the audience with his emotional performance. Never expected this from him! Very good effort Ravi! Kota Srinivasa Rao, Sai Chand and Hema had done their part well.

Analysis

Although Krish did not bring a unique subject, it is a bit different from his previous works. Krish’s narration is good as usual. Tej is good in his role, yet he had to improve his dialogue delivery and had to concentrate well on the expressions in the emotional scenes. Usually, the story relating to the forest and tribal people don’t show them as educated, except for a few films, and Konda Polam joins the ‘few’ list. The cinematography is good and so does the music. Keeravani’s songs and BGM are the biggest plus points in the film. The second half turned out to be completely cinematic and it should have been avoided. A couple of songs seems to have been forcedly inserted.
