Plot
Jeevarathnam is a panchayat member. Ilavarasu invites him to oversee a wedding at his home. When everything had been going on fine, Mani, Ilavarasu’s neighbour, lost a family member. When Ilavarasu wants to follow the marriage rituals perfectly, Mani wants to follow the final rites at the same time. Tensions arise, putting Jeeva to the test. Will these grudges and ego between the neighbours take Jeeva out of his game?
Star Performance
Jiiva’s performance is so natural. His casual performance is the biggest strength of the film. His simple, yet sensible reactions are very impressive. His comedy is enjoyable. Thambi Ramaiah and Ilavarasu have done their part excellently. No need to speak about their talent, as they are already renowned for their casual performances. Jenson Dhivakar and Prarthana are good in their roles.
Analysis
The story is simple, yet neatly handled. The first half is utilized for setting up the theme and establishing the characters. Nithish, the director of “Falimy” should be appreciated for making his Tamil debut with such a neatly performing cast. He maintained the narrative well with his content-driven story. The second half is gripping. It has enough comedy and escalates the intensity. The film has even small objects as interesting characters, including a water tank. The visuals and music are decent.

With the natural performances of the stars and organic humour, the film is quite impressive. Jiiva shoulders this comedy subject with social commentary, well. If you love simple stories with grounded performances, you can check this!
