Plot

Pichaimoorthy is a barber. He is married to Subathra and the couple has two children and now Subathra is pregnant with her third child. Subathra’s brother who loved a rich girl eloped with her. Subathra, who comes to know this, wants her brother to marry the girl before her parents drag her away. So, she seeks her husband’s help. Although Pichai is not interested, he has to go, as his wife compels him. But, Pichai who clashed with Manga, a thug, received a threat from him that he will cut Pichai’s limb by that evening before he goes to the prison. Did Pichai escape from Manga? What did the angry Manga do? Watch the film in theaters.

Star Performance

Poorna is the actual show stealer. She completely blows the mind with her performance as a woman with hearing disabilities. For the first time, this Malayali actress dubbed her and it is quite good. Ram and Mysskin have played their part well. Minute expressions play a major part and Adithya had just followed Mysskin’s way.

Analysis

Usually, Mysskin’s movies will have more thrill and crime than the comedy. But, this time, Mysskin scripted an excellent black comedy thriller. Aadithya has executed the film well, which is scripted by his elder brother. If the film had been shot without Mysskin’s black comedy, then it would have been just a thriller. However, Mysskin made it interesting to watch.

What’s There?

Performance of the stars are natural, especially Poorna had done a great job
BGM by Aroll Corelli is simply outstanding
Good script by Mysskin and perfect execution by Adithya

What’s Not There?

Some dialogues are raw. But, it is Mysskin’s style of writing to make the scenes natural

Verdict

Although the film has some raw dialogues, we won’t feel it much while watching the film. Poorna deserves an award for her performance. Savarakathi – sharp!
