Plot

Kavya is the daughter of Vijay and Radhika. She is allergic to dogs. Vijay brings a puppy to make his daughter get rid of her fear of dogs. They name him Scooby. Soon, Kavya gets attached to Scooby. When she gets out to give a note to her friend, Scooby follows her. An unexpected incident happened and made Kavya upset. Was she able to overcome the agony? The rest of the story deals with that.

Star Performance

Vijay Sethupathi is good with his usual performance. Sreeja, the debutant, had to improve a bit. Marudhu Pandian is good with his emotional performance. The real show-stealer is Regina Cassandra. She excels in the emotional scenes and impresses the audience.

Analysis

The director has picked up a good script. The film is between a feature film and a short film. But, it should have been made as a short film, as the content is limited. The film is shot in limited locations, and it looks neat for the budget. The cinematography and BGM are good, and they gel well with the script. Regina’s character is penned neatly, and she is the right choice too. Her emotional scenes are impressive. She lived as a caring mother.

What’s There?

  • The performance of the leads are good
  • A neat message-oriented subject

What’s Not There?

  • The length of the film should have been trimmed

Verdict

Overall, the movie is good with the performance of Vijay Sethupathi, Regina Cassandra, and Marudhu Pandian. If the length had been shortened, it would have been impressive. Mughizh – watchable!
