Plot
Vijay is an IT guy who leads a peaceful life with his mother and sister. He is a person who doesn’t want to hurt anyone in his lifetime. His life takes a turn, when a masked man abducts his family and forces him to kill people. ACP Yazhvendan crosses Vijay’s path and guides him. Who is the masked man? Why did he choose Vijay? What was Yazhvendan’s part in this mystery? The rest of the story deals with this.
Star Performance
Vijay Kanishka gets a pass mark in his debut. His performance is neat and he has a good future, if he picks good scripts. Sarath is impressive with his ACP role. Gautham Menon and Smruthi Venkat are seen in cameo roles, yet they are impressive. Samuthirakani played an important role and his performance is okay. Ramachandra Raju and Sithara are good with their performances. Bala Saravanan and Ramdoss were given limited roles, which they did well.
Analysis
The first half of the film started well with some interesting twists. After the masked man’s truth revelation, we can feel that it is a regular thriller story. Many sequences are predictable and we can’t find anything interesting in the second half. However, the action sequences are good in the second half and Sarath’s stunt scenes are good. Ramdoss and Bala should have been given some more screen time, so that the film would’ve got some extended relaxing time. Certain characters are not developed well and are left unused after a couple of scenes. The visuals and editing are quite okay. The BGM is good.

Verdict
Hit List comes with some twists in the first half, but predictable in the second half. However, it is worth-watching once!
