Plot
Muthukutty is an ice-vendor. He has a son Parthi, who had been tired of seeking a job in the city. Muthukutty’s behavior hadn’t gone well with his son, who feels that his father embarrasses him often. So, he maintains a distance from his father. When will Parthi feel the goodness in his father? Will that ever happen? The answers form the rest of the story.
Star Performance
Samuthirakani had always played his best and the same goes here in Aelay. Manikandan is very natural in his performance and so does the newbie, Madhumathi.
Analysis
Halitha Shameem impressed the audience with her excellent venture, Sillu Karuppati. Now, she has come with another emotional tale, Aelay. The characters are designed well and the stars fit well in the given roles. Samuthirakani’s makeup is unimpressive and they would have gone for a better one. The screenplay is good, but the film gets stretched in the second half as there are many subplots introduced. The music and cinematography are perfect.
