Plot
Father Mankunnathu Paili is the caretaker of Ambrose Vas, after the death of the latter’s mother. Father is stringent to Ambrose and years passed by and now, he is a grownup youngster. Ambrose gets trained as a priest and all he wants is to get separated from Fr Mankunnathu Paili. Ambrose gets posted as vicar. After getting his post, Ambrose slowly realizes the love behind the strictness of Fr Mankunnathu Paili.
Star Performance
Indrajith and Murali Gopy excelled in their roles. Nedumudi Venu and Renji Panicker did justice to their roles. Rushin, the boy who played the young Ambrose, is also good. He is the son of Shaji Kailas.
Analysis
The script is good and the screenplay in okayish. The screenplay confuses the audiences in certain scenes. However, the director manages to bring it back to track. The characters are neatly portrayed and the character selection is perfect. Albin Antony’s visuals are excellent. Jayachandran’s music is an added advantage to the flow of the script.

Thakkol is full of emotions with neat narration and performance. It is definitely, a one-time watch!
