Plot

Rekha falls in love with Arjun; he sneaks into her house one night to spend time with her. Things change after this night for Rekha. She decides to take revenge. The rest of the movie talks about her struggle and how she takes revenge.

Star Performance

Vincy Aloshious as Rekha is Awesome. She pulls off the role with great confidence. Unni Lalu, as Arjun, also portrays the two modes of that character flawlessly.

Analysis

During the first half of Rekha, it feels like you are not watching a thriller movie but a romance, as the vibe is more in the romance genre. The story starts with the girl who lives with her parents. She is pursuing an education in sports and is very close to her father. In the first half of the movie, leads are most of the time shown in love and having conversations on the phone. Slowly, as the movie moves forward and takes you to a whole different emotion, you find yourself wanting to know what happened next. It has a detective vibe, but later it feels like the movie went off track and dragged a little longer than it should have been. The writing was lacking, but the music and cinematography kept the audience interested.

The Storyline is unclear.

Verdict

Unlike other movies from Jithin Issac Thomas, this movie failed to connect and deliver as expected. From subject to cinematography to music to acting, everything was excellent but lacked in writing.
