She knows that her brother’s lover has been facing the same from her husband, so she doesn’t want to fall into the trap. Abi is a painter and he is the childhood friend of Fatima. She seeks Abi’s help to call off the wedding. Meanwhile, a migrant worker has been in the talks, as his arrival has brought some changes to the village. What happens next? Did Abi stop Fatima’s wedding? What happens to the migrant worker? The rest of the story is dealt with in the second half of the film.
Star Performance
Vinay Forrt, Deepa Thomas, and Lukman have done a fantastic job. Sunny Wayne did his part well. Sanjana Chandran stands unique among the supporting artists.
Analysis
The story is simple, and the screenplay shoulders the film along with the performances. The characters are designed well. The film showcases a lot of gossip and misunderstandings. The first half of the film has neat character introduction and the second half has the detailed story. However, some of the details are missing. Similarly, some humorous scenes didn’t bring laughter; instead make the audience sit tight-lipped. The climax had some interesting scenes, but as they are lengthy, it bores. The visuals are good, and the production values are sound.

Verdict
The movie is neatly narrated and executed. If we exclude a few stretched scenes, Perumani is definitely a decent watch! Â
