Plot
An Indian couple, Kesav, a filmmaker, and his wife Amritha, went to Sri Lanka in 2022 to celebrate their fifth wedding anniversary when the country declared bankruptcy. Andrew, a tour guide, accompanied them. The couple was given a classy reception, and the tourist vehicle they travelled with the most expensive fuel made the Sri Lankans grow angry at them and the government. Amidst the chaos, Amritha’s phone goes missing. This becomes the biggest test in their life, making their relationship questionable. What happens next? Were they able to reconcile? Why did a gadget bring a tornado? These answers form the rest of the story.
Star Performance
Darshana and Roshan are brilliant actors and they have proved it once again. Their on-screen chemistry is excellent. Shyam Fernando, who played the tour guide, has done his part sincerely.
Analysis
The story is simple and neatly woven. Anushka Senanayake should be appreciated for her wonderful character creation along with the director. Each character is built well and it has the right depth. The connection they make with Ramayana is brilliant. Amritha’s perspective of Ramayana differs from that of Kesav, and it is shown well. Though there are a few scripting errors, they are well-managed by the performances and execution. Rajeev Ravi’s cinematography captures the beauty of Sri Lanka, and editing by Sreekar Prasad is perfect. The BGM elevates the intense scenes and makes the audience travel with the film.

Verdict
The film has very few minor errors, but it looks gigantic in performance, writing, and execution. Paradise – watch-worthy!
