Plot
A drama revolving around the trials and tribulations of percussion artists of Kerala. Their journeys and the paths they choose to go ahead in life.
Star Performance
The biggest takeaway from this film is the director’s decision to cast real instrumentalists and all of them have delivered fantastic performances. Porur Unnikrishnan is fantastic in his portrayal, and so is the rest of the actors.

Oru Desa Vishesham is the film that shows the love, trust and the pattern for life regardless to what extent the art goes. A life many instrumentalists have lived. The film gets the emotions right on point. One of the biggest takeaways from this film is the casting of real instrumentalists, which brings authenticity and enhances the overall feel of the film. The film also beautifully showcases the Thyambaka (a solo chenda performance). The film does suffer from a slow pace but it is deliberately used as a metaphor for an instrumentalist life but some people will feel it's stretched. This film is a beautiful concoction of an artist’s life, and the obstacles they face and the experiences they get.
