Plot
The film’s plot revolves around a young couple, Suma and Surya. Their love story in the beginning was going well. However, Surya gets involved with Shekaraiah who is a local member of legislative assembly.  During this combat, Suma’s and Surya’s relationship underwent many changes. Their relationship suffered a lot due to Surya’s fight with MLA.
Star performance
The main characters of the story are Suma and Surya. Surya’s character is played by Sachin Gangaram. His acting skills throughout the film are fantastic. He portrayed Surya as a unique and fun character. He neatly balances his character’s emotions in intense scenes. He delivered a nuanced performance.
Radha Bhagavathi plays the character of Suma. Her character is of a teenage girl. She falls in love with a boy. Their love story went under many struggles. Radha as Suma has delivered an impressive performance in the film. Suma’s presence made the story more interesting. Ramesh Rai Kukkuvalli as MLA Shekaraiah, the villain in the story. He specifically gives satisfactory performance. Ramesh fits in the role of the villain in the story. His presence made the story more unique, and full of suspense. Other supporting casts like Nandish Ganachari, Adarsh Rangayana, Sachin Rathod, Gururaj Shetty, Jaya Vijaya and VilokRaj have also performed fantastically.

Vasanthakalada Hoogalu is a romantic-action Kannada movie. The film’s script is about a couple, Surya and Suma whose relation underwent many challenges and struggles. The genre of the film is comedy and suspense that makes the storyline very interesting. The film also has an unexpected ending which is pretty impressive. It forms a unique romantic story. Not only the script, but the execution of the script is elegant. The direction is top-notch. The storyline is simple to visualise yet full of twists and turns. The chemistry between main actors and supporting actors is palpable. However, the film’s pace is problematic, it keeps audience’s attention unbalanced throughout the film.
The main cast of the movie specifically Ramesh Rai Kukkuvalli as MLA Shekaraiah, who is a villain in the story has delivered a nuanced and an impressive performance. The supporting actors like Nandish Ganachari, Adarsh Rangayana, Sachin Rathod, Gururaj Shetty, Jaya Vijaya and VilokRaj have also delivered fantastic performance. The film also has an outstanding cinematography. The shots taken are amazing. The movie is full of uniqueness. It never gets boring. The plot is unpredictable. The soundtracks are enjoyable. They are fun. Even, the lyrics of the songs are interesting and meaningful.
