An overwhelming desire for a better life, a poignant story, which surely tugs at your heart strings.
Plot: Shiva Sathe, a hangman by profession, lives in Maharashtra with his wife and a son. Quite hopeful of a better future, he has a simple wish, to not to let his son be forced into the same profession as his, in his lifetime and help him become a police officer. He hopes for a better life for his son, and he believes this can only happen if his son Ganesh, becomes a police officer. With the help of one of his friend, Shiva sends his son, to the city to study. But unfortunate events and circumstances take such turns, where he experiences shattered wishes, even after an eager desire of his son to fulfill his parents ambition.
Analysis: A tale full of ancient customs and traditions, the story, is a tug of war between Shiva’s desire to achieve salvation, happiness, and his mandate in his profession. The story is easily relatable, as it is a story that makes the emotions of the father the focal point, where he wants to see his son, in a better position than him, to move up in life, like how every parent wants to see their kids. But sadly, the story is left loose, and it ends up in brothels and rave parties.
A fate of a loose storyline is met with another blunder, which is, taking seasonal and perfectionists in the field of acting.

paints a real picture of an emotional father, desperate for change his only hope rests on his son. A moving picture where the actor beautifully portrays an ethical man strict about his principles even when his son inadvertently, commits a crime. Shreyas, on the other hand, looks like he lost his stance and outmoded. No doubt, both are excellent actors. But excellent actors need a strong script, with enough meat in the storyline, to keep their momentum going on.
Verdict: The movie was a disappointment, as it had many lose threads.
