Analysis: Santosh Sivan, an ace in filmmaking, captured the beauty of Kashmir, along with the real topics of terrorism. He uses natural lighting and simple cast to give a realistic film. He intelligently made an emotional bond between Purav and the donkey. This captured the audience very well. This film uses very common details and witnesses a gradual growth. This growth is consistent and makes the upcoming scenes unpredictable. The sounds and sights of the landscape are captured just in a way a poet, who surrendered himself to nature would portray. This film possesses its rhythm.
Star Performance: The director excelled in casting a good set of actors, who are mostly misused by the films. Purav is an ingenious small boy, who captivate us with his innocent performance. Anupam Kher, Sarika, and Rahul Bose deliver it naturally, with utmost power in it. Ankush Dubey perfectly excels in his role. The emotional levels were at the right quantity.
What's There: Even when the pace of the movie slows down, the narrative looks enchanting. They do not even bore us even a minute. The performance is extracted from the plot, and the vice versa is avoided.
Verdict: A spellbinding journey for Birbal.
