CAST & CREW
Kunal Khemu does a double role in this film. When one of the characters struggles hard to reach the stardom in Bollywood, the other one is already famous there. Tulip Joshi plays the lead female role. This movie was directed by Rohit Jugraj and written by Rahul Singh.
Plot: When Kunal is struggling hard to get into the Bollywood field, there comes a surprise that Karan, a look- alike of Kunal, has accepted a movie. Kunal gets shocked on seeing Karan, a big star in the cine field. Fate plays very badly that Karan dies in an accident. Kunal is forced to replace Karan in both cine as well as personal life. Will he reveal the truth?
Analysis: A story that was supposed to be about ego and friendship turned out to be about the responsibilities. The first half was in a good and racy pace. Once, after the intermission, it loses its ground. The real superstar of the movie is director Rohit, who was once accused by his mentor, Ram Gopal Varma, that he is not fit for direction. This film did not possess any great elements but did not fail as well. A decent entertainer.
Star Performance: Kunal Khemu gives a solid and a tremendous performance. He proved that he possessed the potential in handling dual roles. Other casts were not up to the mark.
What's There: Many worthy comedy scenes are there; that pokes at the cliches that are used usually in the Bollywood films.
What's Not there: This film loses its grip, when it's duration is almost three hours. This is the generation in which the directors are keener on wrapping up the movie within two hours. This movie does not work.
Verdict: Neither 'great,' nor 'poor.'
