Plot
The story revolves around Jigar who lives in India. However as he completed his studies he moved to London in order to achieve freedom and started a new journey. In London he met an Asian British boy, Mihir who is a successful businessman. They started falling in love. However, this initial romance turned into a punishment for Jigar. Soon the sweet nature of Mihir turns to an abusive and controlling force.
Jigar started feeling like a caged bird, as he was struck in an emotional cycle in which he was continuously abused by Mihir. He keeps himself all alone away from all his friends and family. He continuously struggled to break free from Mihir's clutch. However, Jigar's friend Neena helped Jigar to overcome his struggle as well as depression.
Star performance
In the movie, there are three major actors who played the role of main characters. Mohinder Mohan Kohli played Jigar's character. He gives an excellent performance which is authentic as well as emotional. He captures Jigar’s weaknesses as well as strengths. Second important actor is Tai Khan who plays the character of Mihir. He depicted the duality of his character's charm as well as illness beautifully. He gave a chilling performance as a perfect depiction of a loving as well as abusive partner. Thirdly, Neena who is Jigar's friend. She helped Jigir in his fight against exploitation and abuse of Mihir. Sonia Goswami played her role. She gave a powerful performance, highlighting the importance of friendship. Other supporting cast also gave fantastic performances that made the film a compelling and unique story.
Analysis
Qaid- No Wayyy Out highlights the struggle of Jigar in his discovery of self. Mohinder Mohan Kohli's depiction of Jigar's excellent portrayal of characters is authentic and emotional. It makes the script more real. He highlights the internal struggle that Jigar undergoes. The movie explores the themes of fear, depression, and pain. Even so, the script of the movie is pretty emotional and interesting, it forms a unique story. The cinematography is top notch. It played an important role in delivering the message of the movie. There is a sharp contrast between the depiction of London streets and dark, isolated places where the love between Mihir and Jigar blooms.
The music track of the film is amazing. It is a mixture of haunting tunes as well as soothing tunes. In the film, there is use of silence in the intense scenes. The script also focuses on the fear, depression in the relationship of Mihir and Jigar. It also highlights the importance of friendship as Neena, Jigar's friend, helped him when he was struggling with depression. Overall, the movie is a testimony that comments on the strength that is required to face challenges in one's life like Jigar's.
