Plot
A girl is sexually abused by her uncle and several factors in her life are the reason for her constant misery. She plans to take revenge on the people who hurt her.
Star Performance
The film has a fantastic cast. Every actor is a known TV face. But here, all of them are decent at best. They are just doing their job. They don’t look invested in the story of the film. Bidita Bag does her best despite her character being underwritten and surface-level. Meghana Malik is also trying but fails because of the script.
Analysis
Anyone who has closely seen the 80s, 90s cinema will exactly recognise for what sense this film is made. The film wants to be a severe revenge drama but has such a degraded standard of filmmaking that you will cringe in every sequence. The movie is predictable. There is nothing new to offer in this film. The songs are fine, the cinematography is only to shoot the scenes not to have a thought to add layers or something to elevate the film. The actors are just doing their job and are somehow trying to save this sinking ship. The writing, direction is so cliche that you wouldn’t feel interested. The problem is the makers can’t balance the film between its seriousness or the lustyness of characters. If you’re on the latter part at least be open about it. A lot of 80s, 90s B grade films or women centric films had this exact plot of some atrocity that had to happen to the heroine to seek vengeance. Moksh To Maya is the product of the same template of women’s revenge stories you’ve seen countless times.

Verdict
Moksh To Maya is a surface-level B-grade film that only pretends to show serious issues but doesn't even scratch the surface. You can watch it on a random binge.
