Now lets see whether the movie manages to impress us.

Plot

Raveena Tandon is working as a school teacher in Delhi. She is living with her teenage girl Alisha and her husband though nothing is so good between the husband and wife. Hoever, Raveena loves her daughter very much and hence stays with her husband. Due to a bad turn of events the mother and daughter are raped and injured by Madhur Mittal Madhur Mittal began a new phase of his career in 2 >> Read More... and his friends. Alisha dies in the miserable act while Raveena survives. While the police is not coming up with quick justice, Raveena hatches her own way of avenging the wrongdoers.

As a grieving mother Raveena Tandon gives a brilliant performance. In fact, she gives more life into the film and her performance wins the accolades. Madhur Mittal, the antagonist plays his role with conviction. Analysis

There were many films that were focused on women in the past few years and Maatr is the recent one to hit the screens. This is the debut flick of director Ashtar Sayed and it can be very well regarded as an eye-opener. Based on the gang rapes, this movie makes one to think one or two about the plight of women in Indian society. Though the film seems to be exaggerated the women will applaud it for the relevant issue. You can feel the pain of the protagonist throughout the movie.

As a debutante the director has done a commendable work.
