Plot
Carl Bhojraj is a criminal who is in Tihar Jail. When he and his allies made a prison-break escape from the most secure Tihar Jail, Inspector Zende vows to catch them. He had already caught Bhojraj, some years ago. Guessing that they might have moved to Goa, Zende get into the action.
Star Performance
Manoj Bajpayee fits well in the role of Zende. He excels in comedy, too. Jim Sarbh is quite good in his role as Bhojraj. Sachin Khedekar and Girija Oak are impressive in their roles. Manoj Bajpayee and Girija Oak’s chemistry is astounding. Bhalchandra Kadam is quite good in his role.
Analysis
Inspector Zende stands between a biopic and a fictional story. Some of the scenes of Manoj Bajpayee take us to The Family Man. The art director and his team should be appreciated for recreating ‘70s and ‘80s Mumbai. Although it is a crime thriller story, it is a family-friendly movie that suits all age audiences. However, the storytelling should’ve been better, avoiding the repetitive elements. The visuals are impressive, and the BGM is decent. A few scenes should’ve been trimmed.
