Girish Oak is the father of Girija Oak. Her mother is a pharmacist. Having pursued a business management degree she later got associated with a theater workshop and tested waters in commercials. Girija entered the Marathi film industry with the 2010 flick Manini.
On her personal front, Girija is wedded to producer Suhrud Godbole. This couple is blessed with a boy. When she was 15 Girija entered the silver screen. Goshta Choti Dongraevadhi, Manini, Gulmohar, and Adgule Madgule are some of the Marathi flicks in which Girija had worked. IME Motion Pictures is the production venture of Mr. Suhrud Godbole. It is having its roots both in Mumbai and Pune. Chintoo, Pune 52 and Champions are some of the movies produced by this production house.
