works as an ACP, who along with his team is on a mission to destroy of drug mafia throughout the country. He manages to do just that but already has new problems, in the face of the new rising drug lord, who wants to control the entire India drug operations. As the drug lord loses his brother in this fight between the good and bad, will there be a price to pay? Will the drug mafia target Genelia who is the love interest of ACP? Will he be able to save her?
Analysis: There are loads of police and goons themed movies in Bollywood, but what makes Force a little bit different, is the whole drug angle that it plays. There are lots of layers to that act and it's uncovered beautifully. Music though easy on ears is a huge disruption to the moving story of the film. One wants to stop the music and just hope they continue with the action and fast pace of the movie. The action scenes are perfectly shot. Director Nishikant Kamat deserves praise for the pace of the movie; it doesn’t drag at any point and is fast paced, and leads towards the climax with a nice speed. The cinematography is average and could have been better.
Star Performance: John Abraham does not give a great performance. Every time he opens his mouth, the reality of him being the hero doesn’t quite seep in. Genelia is the sunshine that the movie desperately needs. As usual, she nails her role and gives a perfect performance. Vidyut, the debutant actor, could have done better, but is efficient enough in his performance.
What's there?:
1. Ripe action scenes with a quiet, brooding hero.
2. Fast paced movie, which will keep you intrigued till the climax.
What Is Not there?:
1. If only muscles could speak! John is the perfect fit for the role, but he doesn’t quite get the meaning of expressions, he is expressionless throughout the film. And that is a huge downer.
2. The love story angle between the two main leads is not developed at all. If they wanted to keep it so light, they could have chucked the whole romance part of the film.
Verdict: It can be enjoyed by anyone who likes watching the nice action in a movie, with a background romance, which isn’t quite convincing.
