Befikre, since its release of trailers, has garnered attention due to its bold attitude. This film starring Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor has released today. Now let’s see what Befikre has in store for us.

Plot

Ranveer Singh is a youngster from Delhi and he goes to Paris to perform at a comedy club named Delhi Belly Bar, with the calling of his friend. This is due to the reason that the friend's restuarant wants to get the attention of Indians living in Paris.

Ranveer bounces upon Vaani Kapoor, who is a tour guide. Vaani Kapoor is an Indian who is born and brought up in France. She has a distinct personality and free-spirited. Both of them decide not to fall for each other. They have all the frolic and fun, dance together etc. and then what happens? Watch the movie to know how it proceeds.

Star Performances

Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor are sharing screenspace for the first time. Ranveeer Singh is seen in a funny avatar throughout the film. He is charming and is at his natural best. Vaani Kapoor is impressive with her performance (she is given the opportunity to prove her mettle and even in her debut flick Shuddh Desi Romance she was impressive). But it’s her dancing ability in which she scores more in Befikre Ranveer Singh also proves no less compared to her dancing skills.

Analysis

Befikre is the boldest flick of Yash Raj productions. Aditya Chopra is directing a film after a gap of over eight long years. Aditya Chopra has till now associated only with Shah Rukh Khan in his flicks and his flicks are always laced with Indian culture. Befikre is surely a change from Aditya’s earlier films. Befikre, which is his fourth venture, seems to mirror the take of youth on relationships. The movie is a clear indication that how the Indian movies have transformed and how love is shown. The movie is very different from other Aditya Chopra films and has lot of kissing scenes.

What’s there?

• The visuals of Befikre are eye-catching.

• The chemistry between the lead pair is sparkling.

• Vishal Shekar’s music in Befikre is simply amazing.

• Ciinematography is distinct in Befikre and we get to see some stunning locales.

• Editing of Befikre is crispy.

What’s not there?

  • The director loses control of the premise at one point.
  • The plot seems to lack in innovation.

Verdict

Befikre is a movie which mostly has a carefree attitude.
