Hindi Movie Review Baar Baar Dekho - Cast & Crew

Nitya Mehra is a female film director to make her presence felt in Bollywood. In the male dominated world where only male directors had often taken a huge share so far in the field of direction, Nitya manages to climb the ladder slowly, Currently, Nitya is also one to create a feature film named ‘Baar Baar Dekho’ and experiment with casting of Katrina Kaif and Sidharth Malhotra. Producer of this movie is Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar, and Sunil A Lulla. The film ‘Baar Baar Dekho’ is expected to release in September 2016 and Nitya shares her position as a co-film director along with Sri Rao. She made her directorial debut on new project ‘Baar Baar Dekho’ with Excel Entertainment in 2015.

Shakyra Dowling is a western casting director and producer. She has produced several films and cast actors for numerous shows and dramas. In 2013, she worked as a producer for the film Incompatible. Maxine Peake directed the film, and Hayley Jayne Standing wrote the storyline for the film. The film released in 2022. And it starred Hayley Jayne Standing, Shobna Gulati, Carla Henry, Rakhee Sharma, Sasha Corfield, Michelle Butterfly, etc. Zoe Bamber, Margot Douglas, Shakya Dowling, Jessica Levick, etc produced the film, and Ross Downes and Keeley Forsyth composed music for the film. Laura Bellingham managed the cinematography department, and Colin Goudie edited the film scenes.

Katrina Kaif is a prominent and very popular British-Indian model and film actress. She was one of the highest-paid actresses in the Bollywood industry and one of the most attractive personalities in India. She was born as Katrina Turquotte on July 16, 1983, in British Hong Kong to Mohammed Kaif, a business person and Suzanne Kaif, a lawyer, and social service worker. Her parents had a divorce when she was just a child and then her father moved to USA. She grows up without a father by her side, but she never complains and instead, she always feels grateful for all the wonderful things she has. Since then, her mother dedicates her life in working for social causes, which led them to relocate to several countries from time to time. Sarika Thakur, better known as Sarika is an Indian actress who was married to the famous Tamil actor Kamal Hassan. She is known for Sony Tv’s Yudh which also marks her television debut along with Amitabh Bachchan.

Sarika was born and brought up in Delhi. Her father walked out of the family when she was young and this made her take up acting. She took up acting at the age 4. Some of her most popular appearances as a child actor include the film Hamraaz where she was the daughter of Vimi. After acting in several children’s films and B-grade films she moved to better films, starring in many Hindi and Marathi films. She also worked with actor Deepak Parashar and was rumoured to have an affair with him before she met Kamal Hassan while filming Karishma.

After getting married to Kamal Hassan she gave up her acting career but resumed after splitting. She has starred in hits like Jaani Dushman (1978), Kranti (1981), Satte Pe Satta (1982) and Raghu Romeo (2003), Parzania (2005) and Bheja Fry (2007) in later part of her career. She won the National Film Award for Best Actress for her role in Parzania. In addition she also won the National Film Award for Best Costume Design for Hey Ram. Recently she appeared along with Amitabh Bachchan in the show Yudh. She has two daughters with Kamal Hassan, Shruti Haasan and Akshara Haasan, both of whom are actresses.

Sayani Gupta is a relatively new Bollywood actress of Bengali origins. She was born in Kolkata to Kamal Gupta and Maitreyi Gupta. Her father worked as a musician in All India Radio and her mother has a government job in BSNL who always opposed to her career as a Bollywood actress. She doesn’t comes from a family background and even had restrictions to watch movies during her childhood phase. She moved from Kolkata to Delhi to pursue graduation from Delhi University and is an alumni of Lady Shri Ram College for women. She shifted to Mumbai to pursue an acting course in Film and Television Institute of India(FTTI), Pune.

Son of the famous writer Javed Akhtar & actress Honey Irani was born on 09 Jan, 1974 in Mumbai.

He did his schooling from Maneckji Cooper & Graduated from HR College, Mumbai. After then, he started his career in films, first as assistant director & then director. After then he did not see back & made other movies like Lakshya in 2004, Don in 2006, Rock On in 2008. He got two national awards, one for Dil Chahta Hai & another for Rock On for direction & production subsequently. 

He portrayed the character Milkha Singh, in the year 2013 in his biographical feature film, for which he got positive reviews as an actor & it, is his best performance yet, which also earned him Filmfare Award for Best Actor. He considers Robert Di Niro as his inspiration for his life & career & respects his parents for the heritage he got & continues to do better work. He has a production company named Excel Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. established with Ritesh Sidhwani. 

He directed a 12 min short film named Positive, 2007 based on HIV-AIDS, to create awareness about the problem. He did sing for Rock On which showed his versatility. He has also launched a social campaign named MARD – Men against Rape & Discrimination.

Karan Johar is one among the top ten celebrities in the Indian cinema, who is popular in almost all the important fields in the cinema. He was born in the year 1974 in Mumbai to Yash Johar and Hiroo Johar. This man is a multi talented personality, who shines in the field of direction, screenplay writing, producing, costume designing and acting. He has also worked as host in the television industry. Karan Johar is a graduate in Commerce, who studied in H. R. College of Commerce and Economics. He is also a post graduate degree holder in French. His debut to the film industry started as an assistant director in the film Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. After three years, he made his directorial debut through Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, a film with Sharukh, Salman, Kajol and Rani. This was a block buster hit and Karan Johar reached fame in his first movie, itself. This film won the National Award for the Best Entertainment Film. It has also bagged eight Awards from Filmfare including the Best Director and Screen Play. Kabhie Kushi Kabhi Gham, Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna, My Name Is Khan, Student Of The year and Gippi are the films directed by Karan Johar. He has produced many hit films including Kal Ho Na Ho, Wake Up Sid and I Hate Love Stories. Karan Johar has also acted in Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, apart from his assistant direction. He has also performed as a costume designed for the popular celebrities like Sharukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan and Amitabh Bachchan. Koffee With Karan was the popular show hosted by Karan Johar, which made him popular among the TV audience. This program got aired for four seasons till 2014. He was also a part of the show Jalak Dikhhla Jaa, judging the participants along with Madhuri Dixit.

Ritesh Sidhwani was born in Mumbai on January 1, 1973. He had no formal education on filmmaking, yet he turned himself as a producer of Bollywood films and runs Excel Entertainment (an Indian film studio) in Mumbai, which was jointly created by Javed Akhtar’s son Farhan Akhtar, and Ritesh Sidhwani in the year 1999. So far the duo had released 14 blockbuster films under Excel Entertainment banner. 

The current chairman and MD of the Grey Group India, Sunil Lulla is a media and communication personnel. He finished his B.Com from Mumbai University of Mumbai and went on to attain a Master's degree in Management Studies from S.P Jain Institute of Management and Research India. Before Grey Group India in July 2014, Sunil has been a board member of the News Broadcasters Association, president of Eros International, chairman and MD of Times Television Network and also a general manager at MTV-India. 

Ravi K Chandran is an ace Indian cinematographer. He has often associated with topnotch Indian directors like Mani Ratnam, Priyadarshan, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Shaji Kailas, Karan Johar, A R Murugadoss and Rajeev Menon. He has endeavored in the art as well as commercial flicks.

Ehsaan Noorani is one of the Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy trio, composing of three talented Indian musicians namely Shankar Mahadevan, Ehsaan himself and Loy Mendonsa. He is a popular music composer and guitarist. 

Ehsaan was born on October 12, 1963 in Hyderabad, India. He grew up in a place instilled with appreciation to different music genres at an early age. At 14, he started learning guitar under the teaching of Bismarck Rodriguez in Mumbai. During the mid 80’s, he attended the Guitar Institute of Technology (GIT), which is known as MI now. This became the turning point of his life as a musician as he slowly began to progress as a guitarist with huge potentials. He considered this period as ‘the best years of his life’. He went to Los Angeles, which is known to be the Music Capital of the World, and showed himself to the great musicians like Larry Carlton, Robben Ford and many more. 

Ehsaan was influenced by the famous bands of the 70’s like Pink Floyd, Led Zepellin, Wishbone Ash, Santana and Deep Purple. Since then, he became inclined and fond to the Blues; something about the genre has caught his whim and he continues to hold into it until today. He listened to BB King, Johnny Winter, Eric Clapton and Robert Ford to help him in shaping up his Blues vocabulary and become a stepping-stone to his improvisation. 

When he returned to India, he worked with coposers like Louiz Banks for several advertising commercials and continues to create trends to the industry with his captivating tunes, expertise in guitar and his cleverness in music. This led him to compose music for commercials and just before he knew it, he was brainstorming with Shankar and Loy. The trio started to compose music for films and they were known as SEL. 

Composing music for films and commercials had helped him to experiment in various music styles like blues, metal, electronic, rock and country, but his heart is still fond of doing Blues and until now, he is still performing with his band called Apostrophe. 

Ehsaan together with Shankar Mahadevan have lent their vocals to several songs, including Yeh Dil Deewana from the 1997 Bollywod film Pardes, Vande Mataram from the 2000 comedy-drama film Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani, and Mujhse Shaadi Karogi from the romantic comedy film Dulhan Hum Le Jayenge. He also lent his guitar pieces to songs made by many music directors like Vishal Shekhar for the songs Bin Tere and Sadka Kiya from the box-office hit film, I Hate Luv Storys and Small Town Girl from the rom-com film Bachna Ae Haseeno. 

To prove his mettle in the world of music, Ehsaan has won several accolades in his entire career for his work in films like Kai Ho Naa Ho, Bunty Aur Babli, Dil Chahta Hai, Kal Ho Naa Ho and Mission Kashmir.

Loy Mendonsa is an Indian pianist, musician, and singer. He is more renowned as the member of the trio group Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, which he co-founded with singer Shankar Mahadevan and guitarist-singer Ehsaan Noorani. His career initially began for Doordarshan productions, where he composed the theme song of “The World This Week” show. Before the formation of his trio group, Loy has worked with the Indian music great A.R.Rahman and Nadeem-Shravan.

Shankar Mahadevan, a well-renowned, talented and famous music composer, and singer. An accomplished musician in Tamil cinema, he is a part of the Shankar Ehsaan Loy trio team that provides music to Bollywood and other International films. He has won various Indian and multiple National Film Award. His most famous albums include, “Breathless“- Album that first gave him fame, including the song, "Breathless," in which he sings throughout the whole song without pausing to breathe and “Nine” - Nine is Shankar's most recent album. Each song is a representation of a "mood," including joy, sadness, love, etc. He was also invited by UNESCO and the US State Department to perform at the UN General Assembly Hall for the finale of the International Jazz Festival on 30 April 2012 which is a thing of pride. Shankar has always considered himself as a restless student wanting to learn more every time. He says he’s thirsty and want to learn every time and experiment with something new. He wants to be a perfectionist. Shanker also feels that Karnatak music is the most powerful form of music and he himself started with Karnataka classic which he says is the best to create a prominent base for music. Music is the thing which excites Shanker the most, and he would always be attached to it. Personal Life: Shanker Mahadevan was born in Chennai to a Tamil family but was later brought to Mumbai and was raised there. Being born into a Tamil family and later raised in Mumbai, he knows both Hindi and Tamil language but is not well versed with Tamil and Malayalam. He finished his schooling from OLPS High School in Chembur and his engineering in computer science from R.A.I.T (D Y Patil, Navi Mumbai). His wife, Sangeeta is Maharashtrian and oldest son Siddharth Mahadevan. Also, a singer, made his debut on the 2013 Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’s song, Zinda. Shankar’s youngest son, Shivam Mahadevan, also a singer made his debut in 2013 in the movie Dhoom 3’s song, Bande Hain Hum Uske. Mahadevan is fluent in Marathi, Tamil, Hindi, Urdu and English.

Aadore Mukherjee Mehra is a casting director by profession in the Indian film industry. She works mainly in Bollywood. She is a very talented figure of Indian cinema. She is known for many Hindi films such as Baar Baar Dekho, Azhar, Happy New Year, Bang Bang, Ek Villain, Ragini MMS 2, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, I, Me Aur Mai, Don 2, Delhi Belly, and Positive. She also worked in the casting department in Jhootha Hi Sahi, Wake Up Sid, and Migration.

Sidharth Malhotra is an Indian actor who was born on January 16, 1985 in Delhi. His father Sunil was a former employee of Indian merchant Navy.

Sidharth started modeling at the age of 18. He was not very serious about it at that time and took it as a fun activity to earn extra money. He did modeling for 4 years before he decided to pursue acting as a career.

He then started off by assisting Karan Johar in the film My Name Is Khan in 2010. Karan then gave him his first big break in 2012 in the movie Student of the Year. The actor played Abhimanyu Singh in the movie. The film was successful and Sidharth got critical acclamation.

He then had 2 films in 2014 namely Hasee Toh Phasee and Ek villain. His work was compared to that of Amitabh Bachchan in his early life. Both his films did moderately well on box office but Sidharth received praise from both critics and audience for his screen presence and intensity.

He has won 4 awards which are Breakthrough performance (Stardust) and debut actor of the year (South Africa India Film and Television Awards) male for Student of the Year; most entertaining actor in a romantic film (Big Star Entertainment Awards) for Hasee Toh Phasee and Entertainer of the Year (shared with Alia Bhatt).

He got 10 other nominations combined for all his work.

He was among the top 15 on the Times of India List of India’s Most Desirable Men in 2012 and 2013. He was voted the 3rd hotlist most promising new comer (Times of India).

His upcoming film "Brothers" is in postproduction stage now, which will release on the 14th of august 2015. He is also doing a film Kapoor and Sons, which is still filming, and the dates are to be announced.

Zack Niizato is a Japanese actor. He can be identified with his distinctive Asian features along with brown eyes and black hair. George painted the impact of St. Lawrence Seaway Authority on North American economy through his vocals. He also appeared in a recent Bollywood film Baar Baar Dekho as Mr. Reynolds.
