Plot
The plot of All India Rank centres on a young boy from a middle-class family who is sent to Kota forcefully during the start of the IIT rat race. The movie begins with the introduction of the protagonist and his family, consisting of his father and his mother. They were desperate to send their only child to Kota for IIT preparations.Â
The 17-year-old protagonist, Vivek, does not want to live in Kota far from his family. The writers make sure that viewers sympathize with the parents as well as Vivek. However, he has no idea what he wants out of his life. He is under constant pressure to pass the IIT exam and fulfil his parents' dream. In Kota, Vivek joins a group that includes two "repeaters" with whom he develops a bond of friendship. The movie emphasizes on Vivek's everyday life away from his home rather than the classroom, which is used as a source of stress in the movie.

The cast members gave decent performances. You will be momentarily enraged by Saddat Khan's portrayal of Mohit. It is a pleasure to see Sheeba Chadha in the role of Kalpana, as she conveys her genuineness with a healthy dose of comedy.
