The Dead Room is a story about how a family flees from their farmhouse in New Zealand after they felt the presence of a supernatural power in their home. It states how two scientists and a young psychic were sent to this place to investigate the presence of this power. In doing so, they encounter a spirit who at any cost will protect the secrets of this farmhouse.

While their investigation they encounter a spirit who will protect the secrets of this house at any cost. But at last, they were successful in solving the mysteries of this home.
Analysis: Jason Stutter’s, “The Dead Room”, is a horror film and the story moves at a slow pace. He has tried everything to create that supernatural look in the flick. From light torch to that noise and shadow he has made an attempt to please the audience and created a ghostlike presence. With all these smoky effects he has grasped the attention of the spectators in the last 10 min of the movie.
Star Performances: Jed Brophy as Liam Andrews and Jeffrey Thomas as Scott Cameron have played the characters of the two scientists in the film. Where Jeffrey is a scientist and Jed is his assistant and a tech Ned. Laura Petersen has portrayed the role of Holly Matthews, a young psychic in the flick. The acting done by the trio have left the audience speechless and spellbound. From all the scenes of moving in that farmhouse to the solving the secret of the place, they have tried everything to create that horror look.
What’s there?
1. The effects of the movie have helped in creating that thriller look.
2. The superb acting done by the actors has a drastic impact on the viewers.
What’s not there?
1. The story is bit childish as it every time we see Holly thinking about and telling Liam and Scott about the things which she has seen.
2. The script is not well written.
3. After watching the film, people do not have that scared look on their faces and are not at all shocked.
4. Jason Stutter’s camera lacked in creating an impact and till the flick becomes a bore to the audience.
Verdict: The Dead Room hasn’t created that much of an impact on the folks. The story is predictable and has nothing new in it. People with an interest in horror and thriller genres can watch the movie once, but will be boredom until the end.
