Plot

In a place near Corellia, orphan child is made to do theft to survive. Han and his sweetheart Qi'raescape the grasp of a nearby criminal pack. They pay off an Imperial officer with a stolen test of coaxial, hyperspace fuel, in return for the section on an active transport. However, Qi'ra is secured by their old mates she can board. Han promises to return for her and joins the Imperial Navy as a flight cadet.
