Plot: The movie’s plot unfolds such that the characters in the movie face the life two years after the first movie was made. The female characters Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda stick to each other. They make a journey through difficult and better times of life. They are all set on a shopping spree. The plot unravels in such a way that Carrie Bradshaw has reminiscences about her bondage with her three close friends as Charlotte, Miranda, and Samantha. The plot appears meaningless at a few places. In the movie, there is very little scope for actress Cynthia Nixon. But, she is the only actress who outshines other performers. The original movie 'Sex and the City' has plenty of soul in it. But, the succeeding movie proves as a major disappointment for fans. The movie Sex and the City 2 appears stereotyped. The female characters in the movie Sex and the City 2 lack the lighter vein in them. There is fun missing in them.

Verdict: Audiences are unable to enjoy the movie. The sequel Sex and the City 2 has doused the expectations it aroused.
