Picture This is a comedy film scripted by Nikita Lalwani and directed by Prarthana Mohan. It was based on Five Blind Dates, penned by Shawn Seet. Ben Pugh and Erica Steinberg produced the film. The film featured Simone Ashle, Anoushka Chadha, Hero Fiennes Tiffin, Luke Fetherston, Sindhu Vee, Phil Dunster, Mark Wildie, Nikesh Patel, Adil Ray, Kulvinder Ghir, Asim Chaudhry, Freya Ceesay, and Renee Hart.
Plot
Pia is a photographer who runs a studio. She is approaching her 30. Her younger sister Sonal is getting married. So, Pia faces pressure from her mother, Lakshmi, to find the best guy for her as a life partner. Though Pia insists to her mother that she doesn’t want to be involved in the marital relationship, her mother wants her to get hitched. Pia tries to go on dates to find a suitable life partner, but fails in many ways. Will she find a partner? The rest of the film discusses this.
Star Performance
Simone Ashley excels as Pia. As a photographer and a studio owner, she finds it hard to run her business, and when her mother insists her get married, she feels very emotional. In those emotional scenes her expressions are flawless. Anoushka, Sindhu, Hero Fiennes Tiffin, and Luke Fetherston have also done their job well.
Analysis
The story is simple and neat. The humour elements are enjoyable. The characters are finely designed, and proper artists are engaged. The sisterly bond which was showcased in the film didn’t attract us. It could’ve strengthened the climax if made proper. The romantic scenes are not as impressive as expected, but Pia and Charlie’s romance is neatly pictured. The production values are good and the film is technically sound.

Despite the negatives, it has a decent comedy and interesting performances. Overall, it is a good entertainer to watch!
