Plot

Alana is an assistant to a photographer, and Gary is a child actor. Alana is 25 years, and Gary is 15. Gary wants to have a friendship with Alana. Soon, they start a waterbed company, which runs successfully. Meanwhile, Alana dates Gary’s friend, but soon they break up. After a crisis in the country, their waterbed company runs in a loss, and they got a final appointment to fix a waterbed for Jon Peter. As he was about to go out, he warned them if they spoiled his house while fixing the bed, he would not leave them. But, after setting the waterbed, Gary opens the water and spoils. What happens after Peter finds them spoiling his house? Were they able to escape? The rest of the film deals with this.

Star Performance

Alana Haim and Cooper Hoffman played the leads, and they did their best and impressed the audience.

Analysis

The story is different, and the director has narrated it differently, unlike the regular narration that goes either with a linear or non-linear kind. The director makes the audience think about the next scene with his unique narration. The audience is made to travel to a different era, and the director makes them like this kind of narration. Similarly, the relationship between Alana and Gary is shown well. Yet, some logical loopholes pull the movie down. The production designs are good, and the BGM suits the story well. The visuals are impressive.
