Hannah and Anne Frank are close friends. Hannah and Anne are friends right from kindergarten days. The film discusses how they enjoyed their childhood together, how they were at school and house, and how they got separated. Had they reunited? The film discussed it too.
Aiko Beemsterboer and Josephine Arendsen lived in the characters. They emoted pretty well. Both have good on-screen chemistry, and their eyes speak more than words.
The film is based on real-life incidents, and when we watch it with Aiko Beemsterboer and Josephine Arendsen in the lead roles, playing Anne and Hannah, we also get into their lives. Apart from their performances, the screenplay, dialogues, and execution played a prime part. The scenes are depicted well, and when one of their families decides to move out from their town, the girls' emotions are shown beautifully. When they starve, the reaction of how they suffer is beautifully dealt with by the director, yet it is heart-wrenching. Hannah and Anne's friendship is perfectly molded. Their teenage stories are also neatly penned. Hannah's feeling for her friend reflects in every scene when she speaks about her to her little sister. Besides these, the film is good with its production and technical values.
What's Not There?
