Janelle Monáe Robinson professionally known as Janelle Monáe was born on December 1, 1985, is an American songwriter, singer, model, and actress. The Audition was her first unofficial studio album. After that, she made a debut with extending play (EP) titled Metropolis: Suite I (The Chase). She spent her early years in the city named Kansas where she was born. Her father was a truck driver whose name was Michael Robinson Summers. At a very young age, she was passionate about singing and always had a dream of becoming a singer. She studies drama at American Dramatic and Musical Academy in New York. She then met some like- minded young artists and founded the Wondaland Arts Society in 2001. She has received 51st Annual Grammy Award for her EP titled Metropolis: Suite I (The Chase).
