During the makng of the movie ‘Gunner Palace’, the director couple had a brainwave. It resulted in the formation of the plot for ‘Fightville’. The finding came as they watched soldiers who were viewing and carrying out martial arts. For reasons best known only to Dustin Poirier, he started fighting when he was hardly the age of five. And that too, with a punch that could shatter anybody. When Dustin was aged 10, he broke the jaw of a 15-year-old. Dustin and his mother had to face court trials, and it seemed like Dustin would land up at the prison.Â
During his adolescence, the heavyweight champion found out about the Mixed Martial Arts, better known as MMA. It happened to be an accidental discovery as Dustin was watching the TV. As Dustin turned 20, he started training on the martial arts. Dustin’s talent is discovered by MMA promoter Gil. The rest of the movie unfolds in a way which interests the audiences. Dustin admits in the movie that, through fighting, he redeemed what he lost.
