Plot

Anthropoid is a drama mystery written and directed by Sean Ellis. The movie stars some prevailing faces. The music is composed by Guy Farley and Robin Foster. The story focuses on the real incident of Operation Anthropoid. It is winter time in December during the Second World War, the time when Nazi rule has come in the scenario. Two agents have exiled from the homeland and are hurt due to the crash of parachute.

Their names are Jozef and Jan. They try to complete their contract in Czechoslovak but are not able to escape for long. The two fighters find out their location, but Josef shoots one of them. The other man escapes. After they complete their contract, Dr.Eduard gives them aid and also organizes the meeting for them with the resistance. The agents reveal their identity about the “Operation anthropoid” and their aim about it. Jozef and Jan have the bounded equipment to work on the operation.

They meet two young women on the mission, Marie, and Lenka whose help leads them to reach Heydrich. Jozef and Jan plan the attack on 27th May 1942. After the bombing takes place and Heydrich dies, there is a spark in the people of Nazi and they start creating terrible situations for citizens. The movie further unfolds the story about how Jozef’s and Jan’s family face the troubles. Star Performance

The cast has given an excellent performance and everyone has done their part well which needs to be appreciated.

Analysis

Sean Ellis (II) has done a remarkable work on the storyline and always come up with unique ideas to enthrall people.

What’s there?

1. The cast has given a stunning performance and done justice to their character.

2. The shot during Nazi rule is presented in a proficient manner.

What’s not there?

1. Effects could be better in the few scenes.

Verdict

Another movie showing the vast scenario about World War II and we should know about our history and how passionate our fighters were. Thus, this movie is a must-watch indeed.
