and directed by David Sandberg. Annabelle: Creation is the prequel to “Annabelle.” This is the fourth installment of Conjuring Series. The film deals with how the Annabelle doll is possessed by the spirit. Stephanie Sigman, Talitha Bateman, Anthony LaPaglia, and Miranda Otto play the main roles. Before hitting the screens, the film Annabelle Creation was screened at the LA Film Festival in June 2017. Benjamin Wallfisch composed the music. Maxime Alexandre is the cinematographer of Annabelle: Creation. New Line Cinema, Atomic Monster Productions and The Safran Company produced the film on a large scale.
Plot
Samuel Mullins is a doll maker. He is married to Esther and the couple had a daughter named Annabelle. When Anabelle was five, a car dashed her and she died on the spot. The couple believed that their daughter’s spirit contacts them. Without knowing whether it is right or wrong, as per the order of the spirit, the couple transfers the essence of the spirit to a porcelain doll crafted by Samuel. Soon, they found out that it is not their daughter’s spirit but a demon that needed a human host. So, they took the doll and locked it in a cupboard with bible pages. Then, they called the priests and did some rituals to the room and their house. After 12 years, Samuel provided shelter to Sister Charlotte and six orphan girls, as their orphanage had been closed. On that night Janice, the youngest one among the six girls, enters the room, where the Annabelle doll was locked. Unknowingly, she released the demon, which started torturing all of them. Later, Samuel finds out that the demon had been released. Soon, Samuel and his wife were killed. Later, Sister Charlotte tries to save the girls from the devil. But the demon attacks the sister. It possesses Janice and knowing this sister Charlotte locks Janice and the doll in the cupboard. What happens next? Did the spirit leave Janice? What happens to Sister Charlotte and the five girls? Watch it in the theaters.
Star Performance
All the stars performed pretty well, as directed by David F Sandberg.
Analysis
David F Sandberg has dealt with the script perfectly. Although we couldn’t say that Annabelle: Creation is a perfect film, we should laud the director for making the audiences glued to their seats. However, David doesn’t shine well as he did in Lights Out.
