, who impressed lakhs of people with his natural performances is no more. The 80-year-old actor is also a theater artist, director, screenplay writer and playwright. Due to some health issues, Maruti Rao was admitted to a private hospital in Chennai. He breathed his last today. Maruti Rao has penned 9 plays, had written novels, children’s stories, playlets and stories. He had also penned an autobiography. Maruti Rao had played in more than 240 films.
He is popular for scripting the hit films including Kallu, Doctor Chakravarthy, Samsaram Chadarangam and Tharangini. He had been honored with Nandi Awards six times. Maruti Rao Garu was last seen in Jodi with Aadi Saikumar and
