A few weeks back, a veterinary doctor from Hyderabad was brutally harassed and burnt alive in a remote area in that big city. Following her death, the Hyderabad police arrested four people as the accused in the case, which has been addressed as Disha Case. It was stated that when the accused are ordered to recreate the crime scene, they tried to escape and the police encountered them. When many people appreciated this, some said that the police should not have shot them, but should have proved they are guilty and handed over them to court.
The latest information in the case is that the Supreme Court ordered the police to submit the report related to the case to the SC's special panel within 6 months. The panel has former CBI Director Karthikeyan and Justice Regha, a former judge of Bombay High Court.
