With films like ‘Gaami’ and ‘Om Bheem Bush’, Telugu industry has regained the lost confidence. Yes, they might not be as huge in collections as ‘Hanu Man’, but they have earned the status of atleast a clean box office HIT!

Made on a budget of 40 crores, the film turned out to be a blockbuster, earning more than 350 crores worldwide.
However, until the beginning of March, ‘Hanu Man’ was the only major commercial hit in Tollywood. Except for ‘Ooru Peru Bhairavakona’, not one film managed to even recover its costs, forget being a blockbuster.
However, things have changed for the better with films like ‘Gaami’ and ‘Om Bheem Bush’. Both had unique themes, and both were made on shoe string budgets. Yet, despite the mixed response from critics, the films found their audience, and earned a respectable amount. While Gaami earned more than 22 crores worldwide, ‘Om Bheem Bush’ earned more than 21 crores over a budget of 10 crores. All eyes would be now on ‘Family Star’, which would release in early April.
