Priyanka Launched The National Silk Expo In The Temple Of Satya Sai Nigamagamam

The Non-Profit Organization, Gramin Hastkala Vikas Samithi conducted a 6-day National Silk Exposition this year in the temple of Sri Sathya Sai Nigamagamam in Hyderabad; the expo will be until June 29, 2015. According to the actress, an event like this is necessary for women, who are in search for an ingenious handcrafted silk wear, cotton and home textile combined in different style and design of silk; all of which are made through handloom creations.

There are over sixty designers and handicraft workers who come together from fourteen handloom weaving states and became a part of this Expo, according to Jayesh, the organizer of the event. The main goal of this exhibition is to promote or endorse the weavers and cater a market for the handloom industry. He also said that through this event, they can make a market for the weavers, even is such places that the exhibitions are not feasible.
