Nagarjuna’s Challenging Role In Oopiri!

Akkineni Nagarjuna is expecting his bilingual movie with Karthik Sivakumar and Tamannaah Bhatia, “Oopiri.” The film has Nagarjuna as a physically challenged person and Karthi as his friend. Nagarjuna plays the role, just sitting in the wheelchair. It was a challenging role for Nag, as he has to sit in a place and bring out all the emotions. As he has to sit in the chair and act, sometimes, his legs had gone numb. During the shooting, an assistant director was appointed to check whether Nagarjuna is moving his legs or hands, while in his wheelchair. If there is a slight movement, the entire scene was reshot, as a small mistake will spoil the whole scene. Nag has asked the team to tie his legs and hands while doing the emotional scenes, as he could not control the shakes while performing. The film is the remake of the French film, “The Intouchables.” Nag adds that the movie has some good number of comedies, unlike the original version and it is altered a bit to suit the Tamil and Telugu viewers.
