Nadella Nandagopal…. The Legendary Critic From Telugu Film Industry!

Nadella Nandagopal is an editor, film journalist and a critic. He was born on 8th September 1934 in Repalle, Guntur in Andhra Pradesh, to Venkaiah Nadella and Narasamamba. Nandagopal completed his BA (Hons) degree in Pachaiappa’s College in Madras. He started his cinema career by writing a review to the film “Perantallu” directed by Gopichand in 1951. He was just 18 when he reviewed the film. For his excellent review, he was honored with the first prize in the statewide film review competition. After completing his degree, he joined as an assistant to the editor Jwala and K Pratyagatma. He had been the editor of Telugu Tera and Kinema, which impressed the readers. Nandagopal garu had also worked in the Central Board of Film Censors as a member from 1978 – 1985. He has been the ADVISORY Editor for the book Movie Market from 2004. Nadella Nandagopal has been honored with enormous awards for his excellence in the field of film criticism.
